Happy Thanksgiving!
October 11th, 2010 § 1 Comment
It’s been a very long time since I last blogged. With me ending my 365 attempt and school picking up, I abandoned this poor baby. But Thanksgiving Day has given me a reason to blog because I have a lot to be thankful for!

Good morning, 10/10/10
We had our dinner on Sunday night with just the family plus my cousins who recently immigrated from the Philippines. This was their first Canadian Thanksgiving dinner and boy, was it ever tasty!

That would be the delicious turkey we had. Thank you, for turkey!

Edrina having her first Thanksgiving Dinner yam! She enjoyed it.
I’m thankful for the beautiful family God as blessed me with and all the love that they give me every day. I’m thankful for the amazing friends I have who make me laugh and smile every time I see them. I’m thankful for the opportunities I’ve been given to further my education and career with great classmates and co-workers. Thank you for this wonderful life.
Inception

My ticket for Inception. SO GOOD.
I saw Inception last night with my girlfriends. Tuesday night is our day to go to the movies because it’s Reel Deal night meaning tickets are only $5.99! I would say most movies are a steal at that price but Inception was … oh man. I can’t even begin to describe how awesome it was. It requires a second and possibly third viewing in order for me to be satisfied.
The movie was a great way to end a very stressful day of work. Tomorrow is going to be just as hectic – if not more. Thankfully, the weekend is coming but – d’oh – I have a huge term paper to finish.
Edrina’s Baptism

I’m calling Project 365 for 2010 a bust. I haven’t been able to keep up and so instead of making up for missing days, I’m just going to call it quits. This doesn’t mean I’m going to stop taking photos, though! I’ll just take them as I go along.
Moving onto the important part of this post! Edrina was baptized on Sunday, July 18th. It was a busy and tiring day, but it was a beautiful celebration. Here are some photos:

Happy mommy and daddy!

Madonna, the eldest, is Edrina's Godmother.

This is our church, St. Matthew's

Weekly fix of 365 (Days 30-39)
July 11th, 2010 § 2 Comments
I have decided to update the blog about my 365 progress weekly instead of daily. It’s actually very time consuming to update every night so I thought I’d just do a week’s worth in one post. This one is going to be a big post since I’ve missed 9 days!
Day 30

My mom and dad bought a crib/playpen for when Edrina comes over. She loves these bears!
Day 31

We recently added a deck to the house. It’s awesome! Feels like a whole new room.
Day 32

That smile is contagious!
Day 33

Day 34

Day 35

The flowers from Day 34 were used as part of a center piece for the outside table. I love floating flowers in water. Really classy and simply way to decorate.
Day 36

I love to take photos of flowers. They’re great subjects because (1) they’re pretty and (2) they don’t move.
Day 37

My mom and dad bought these cedar planters and then stained them. They’re really awesome with the deck.
Day 38

Looks good, right? This was the dessert served at our BBQ yesterday. We welcomed my cousins to Canada as they immigrated yesterday. My aunt was one happy lady. And so were the rest of us.
Day 39

My cousins bought me this necklace with a camera pendent. I love it! Thanks Allen and Aurel!
I’m really excited that my cousins are here. Hopefully the weather will keep up and we can take them sight seeing. British Columbia is such a beautiful province and Vancouver is one of the best cities. I hope I can share my love for this place with them!

Day 28 and 29

So, instead of school or work keeping me from posting yesterday, I was actually spending hours online looking up games I should buy. Then I played Torchlight and went to sleep.

That’s my desk. I was playing Torchlight as break from working on my take-home midterm. How does a take-home midterm work, you ask? This summer semester was shortened because of the two week break we got from the Olympics. Our professor didn’t want to waste a class doing a midterm so he decided to do a take-home midterm which is essentially 5 mini papers. Boo.

And for today’s picture, I took a photo of my red mittens from the Olympics. I love these and you can tell I wore them a lot from all the pillage going on.
Happy Canada Day!

Day 27 of 365: Hurley, not Keds
June 29th, 2010 § Leave a Comment

I used to wear my converse all the time then I got my keds and now I wear those all the time. Today, I switched it up with a pretty neat hurley slip on. I really like these.
Batch Post!
June 28th, 2010 § 1 Comment
Hey guys, sorry about the lack of posting but school and work have me exhausted at the end of the day so posting gets easily pushed until I forget about it. Oops.
So here is another batch post. Let’s get started.
Day 22

My mom and I babysat little Edrina while my sister and brother-in-law were out of the house. She’s making the cutest expression here.
Day 23

This wasn’t really taken on Friday but it was taken this year so it still counts in my rules of 365. On Friday I got into playing Left 4 Day so I forgot to take a picture.
I really like this photo. The tiny flowers scattered throughout the photo are my favourite.
Day 24

I bought that dress for Edrina and I absolutely adore it. My sister and I were freaking out that she may be growing too fast and before you know it, won’t fit into it. So we decided to take some photos of her wearing the dress and to our relief, it’s actually a bit too big. Yey!
Day 25/26
So I missed taking photos on Sunday because I was working on paper. In order to make up for it I decided to take a lot of photos of dinner. My dad just came home from G20 Summit (he was doing security) and so we had a steak dinner.
Here was dinner:

Hope you enjoyed this batch post.
Day 21 of 365: Paws and Pay Attention to Me
June 23rd, 2010 § Leave a Comment

I appreciate what my cat is doing here but I really must do my homework!
I have countless photos of SCSI sitting on my desk, books, papers – generally getting in the way of whatever it is I’m trying to do. It’s cute.
